Come to Earth & Fire at 902 N. Kansas Avenue

Try your hand at making a clay pot or pen and ink drawing.

Tables will be set up to give you an opportunity to interact with clay or ink and paper.

Earth & Fire offers a wide variety of art classes for all ages, as well as artwork featuring local artists, such as Staci Dawn Ogle.

Registration for classes in basket weaving, loom beadwork, ceramics, drawing, calligraphy, painting, pottery throwing, clay building and more will be offered throughout the summer.

Join us from 5:30 – 8:30 at the new Two Wolves Studio & Artist Den as we open the doors to the public to this “members only” shared workspace for artists.

Be our guest and tour our unique shared art studio and den.

Refreshments will be served at our dry bar.

Our artist members will display their newest artworks, including Buck Reist with two new cool paintings on canvas of “Spider-woman” and ‘Venom”. Our artist Stephanie Cavanaugh is working on some fun “creature” paintings to show in the shared workspace. Judd Mason returns to collaborate his creative musical talent with the arts of Two Wolves Studio to create a one of a kind atmosphere of intense art that you will want to bring home. Our other Two Wolves Studio & Artist Den members include Poca Field, Sue Edgerton, Ryan Cavanaugh and Alexander Lancaster. Our celebration will extend to the 4 Girls Garage and our “After Walk Party” is scheduled at Serendipity, starting at 8:30pm.

Featured Artist Michael Wolfe of Wolfie’s Ru4Real Photography,     fine art photography for young people of all ages.

Michael “Wolfie” Wolfe took his first photos at the age of nine with a Kodak Brownie camera, a gift from his dad.

Ru4Real Photography can be found in homes, bookstores, restaurants, coffee shops, offices, salons, art galleries, art shows and web sites.

Wolfie has sold his work at First Fridays, galleries, the Plaza Art Fair and curently has his photography greeting cards by the Bird Sings at the Nelson Art Gallery.

Our featured artist for the month is McKenzie Miles a local art teacher at Hope Street Academy.

Our beer sampling from www.TopekaBeer.com will start around 6 pm and will feature O’Dell Brewery. As always we will have a $3 craft beer special and a $5 glass promo. Also pop in from 2-6 and join our happy “hours” and take advantage of our $2 happy hour options.

Live music will be provided by Jacob Hodge and will continue late into the night to help entertain at our artist’s afterparty. Make sure to stop in after doors open at 2 pm, grab dinner tickets, have some libations, head out and peruse NOTO and come back and spend remainder of night with us! Open until 2 am.

Topeka author, historian, entertainer and tour guide Deb Goodrich-Bisel will be signing her new book. Signed copies will also be available for sale.

Artist of the month:  Kathie Duguid, creator of Paper Treasures

Using a technique called “quilling,” Ms. Duguid makes intricate paper jewelry, including barrettes, pendants, pins and earrings, in addition to delicate flowers.
